Seeking a dedicated and meticulous Senior Corporate Tax Manager to offer strategic advice to clients in the professional services sector. This role is pivotal in managing tax risks and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Description

The individual will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large entity/group compliance cases, reporting directly either to a Tax Partner or Client Partner. The individual will develop strong relationships with their clients through regular contact and attending client meetings. They will review tax computations and tax returns, as well as accounts disclosures and deferred tax calculations where necessary. Clients will primarily be owner-managed SMEs and groups but will also include UK entities within large international groups. In addition, this role will include research into complex areas of tax legislation and provision of tax advice on a wide range of areas for review by Partners.

The individual will also be responsible for mentoring other members of the CT team who are currently studying for professional qualifications. This will include reviewing their work, providing them with technical training and support with both technical and client management queries to assist their development.

The corporate tax team deals with corporation tax compliance for a variety of size clients in a wide range of sectors. Compliance issues can include those for large companies and groups such as corporate interest restriction rules, hybrid mismatch rules, transfer pricing, CbC rules, SAO, group relief and also R&D.

As well as its compliance role the team works on a varied range of advisory projects for its corporate client base, covering matters EIS/SEIS, share schemes, reorganisations, demergers and disposals including SSE.

Profile

This role would suit someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience of corporate tax compliance and advisory (including groups), with an accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA), and CTA.

The individual must have experience of managing a portfolio of clients, including managing budgets and billing, and providing advisory services. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role as it will involve interaction with both clients and senior members of the team.
