Senior Finance Business Partner

A Local Authority in East London who are looking to appoint a talented Senior Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis, are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find a successful candidate.

What's on offer:

  • Rates: £420 - £550 per day, inside IR35.

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to act as Senior Finance Business Partner for a portfolio of services within the Council, providing financial advice, guidance and support to Strategic Directors, Directors, Heads of Service and other Managers.

Responsibilities:

Based in East London (Hybrid):

To lead and manage the business partnering team for a defined set of Council services providing full financial support including (but not limited to):

  • Budget monitoring and forecasting
  • Technical finance advice on specialist areas (e.g. Schools, Capital, Grants, HRA).
  • Provision of accurate and timely reports on relevant financial issues and performance.
  • Providing data analysis and options appraisal to enable financially sound and informed decision making.
  • Budget setting and financial planning.
  • Year-end processes including providing specified notes to the accounts and audit evidence.

About you:You will have the following experience:

  • CCAB qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working in local government finance, Demonstrable thorough knowledge and experience of closure of accounts, budget planning.
