We are excited to be supporting our longstanding client, a leading London university, in their search for a temporary Senior Finance Manager: Executive Education. This role will provide a full finance business partnership service to the Executive Education Department.

This is a full time role, starting as soon as possible and running until the end of August 2025 in the first instance. You will be required on site in central London 2 days per week and the remainder remote, however for the first week you need to be on site 5 days.

This role will lead the co-ordination and facilitation of all financial aspects of the long-term plan, for the department and associated budget and forecast, ensuring that senior managers and other stakeholders are fully engaged.

Key areas of accountability include:

  • Contribute to the development of strategy for the area, ensuring that plans are aligned to wider departmental strategy and overall School goals.
  • Manage the delivery of activities within a specialist area, in line with relevant policies and procedures, to ensure performance meets set targets/key performance indicators to support the School in the delivery of a first-class service.
  • Process complex data and apply technical knowledge when conducting root cause analysis to identify solutions to complex issues/unique requests from students, colleagues or stakeholders from across the School.
  • Provide advice to colleagues and stakeholders on the interpretation of policies and procedures for an area of specialism, and support monitoring, to ensure compliance across the School.
  • Lead on the delivery of a portfolio of projects in own area of specialism
  • May oversee the co-ordination of financial planning and reporting, providing guidance as required to support colleagues to fulfil financial management responsibilities.

Experience using TechnologyOne or a similar SaaS platform would be beneficial.
