Senior Finance Manager

Senior Finance Manager | £60-65k | Charity | Largely remote with occasional travel across the countryThis Senior Finance Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a large charity supporting people to find employment. They are going through an exciting period of change and need an experienced accountant to lead the team to support the budgeting, month-end and year-end process of the charity.Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Finance Managers and Management Accountants
• Lead the budget setting and production of regular forecasts
• Present financial analysis to senior managers & ensure business plans are fit for purpose
• Preparing and updating Management Accounts, investigating variances, and identifying areas for improvement
• Maintaining robust financial controls across the finance function
• Lead on the planning and managing the year end accounts process

Person Specification

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
• Extensive post-qualified experience at a similar level (3-5 years)
• Experience of managing staff, ideally within a larger organisation.
• Experience of management accounting
• Ideally have experience from the non-profit or wider public sector
• Excellent communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial and ambitious character with a proactive mindset

The position would be predominantly remote, however, there will be the occasional need (around once a month) to travel across the country to meet the team/stakeholder - this will be expenses by the organisation. This is an excellent role to develop an already strong team and make a difference during an exciting period of change.
