Interim Senior Finance Manager - Adults Social Care

About the client

This Local Authority based outside of London is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the financial management of their Adult Social Care services

Accountabilities

  • Manage a team of 5,overseeing all day to day activities.
  • Ensure robust financial management, assisting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for Adult Social Care
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance, representing the finance team in key meetings and decision-making processes
  • Respond to information requests quickly and accurately
  • Provide financial reports for departmental meetings as required
  • Draft the financial implications for reports to members and directors
  • Provide specialist technical advice relating to their areas of responsibility
  • Undertake financial appraisals of planned service changes, identifying any significant financial implications
  • Evaluate legislative and policy changes and assess the financial impact on the service

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess an accounting qualification
  • Strong experience in financial management within Adult Social Care in local government (E)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Line management experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
