Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of structured financing credit risks associated with strategic lending transactions and related investing activities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in structuring, assessing, and managing risk within acceptable parameters. This position also provides the chance to support the commodities related counterparty portfolio, for both financing and derivatives products.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Manager, Credit, your primary responsibility will be managing a portfolio of structured financing credit risks associated with strategic lending transactions and related investing activities. You will evaluate and approve credit applications, ensuring a comprehensive risk assessment for new or increased facilities. Your role will involve undertaking quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of counterparty and structural risks. You will prepare and present applications to Credit Committee and other Risk forums involving Senior Management. Additionally, you will coordinate post-approval implementation of facilities and legal documentation in accordance with conditions of sanction.

  • Ownership and understanding of the risk profile of the structured transaction credit portfolio
  • Formulation and evaluation of credit proposals, including comprehensive risk assessment for new or increased facilities
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of counterparty and structural risks
  • Prepare and present applications to Credit Committee and other Risk forums involving Senior Management
  • Coordinate post-approval implementation of facilities and legal documentation in accordance with conditions of sanction
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and portfolio reviews as required from time to time

They possess a good understanding of accounting (both management and financial accounting) which enables them to analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of clients. Their ability to understand structured deals allows them to provide guidance to ensure sound security / covenant structures are in place. They have experience engaging with clients to discuss transaction terms and related credit risks.

  • Experience in writing credit applications and analysing transactions within the credit risk department of a Financial Institution
  • Good understanding of accounting (both management and financial accounting) to analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of clients
  • Ability to understand structured deals and provide guidance to ensure sound security / covenant structures are in place
  • Experience of engaging with clients to discuss transaction terms and related credit risks.
  • Working knowledge of the risk systems for monitoring and related procedures for analysing the account behaviour of clients
