Senior Tax Manager

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Tax Manager based in London to join a leading firm known for its expertise in private client tax. This role is ideal for someone who is CTA qualified and has significant experience managing non-dom and high-net-worth individual (HNWI) portfolios.

In this mixed compliance and advisory role, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, including non-doms, HNWIs, sole traders, partnerships, and offshore trusts.

You’ll work closely with Partners, supporting them in delivering complex advisory work such as inheritance tax planning, residence advice, pre-arrival planning, and offshore structure management. Additionally, you will be responsible for staff management, ensuring the development and success of your team.

Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, with a focus on non-doms, HNWIs, and offshore structures
  • Supporting partners in delivering advisory services, including complex tax planning and compliance strategies
  • Attending client meetings, preparing reports, and setting budgets for follow-up work
  • Liaising with clients on a variety of matters including inheritance tax, income tax, and capital gains tax
  • Handling correspondence with HMRC, including s9A enquiries and digital disclosures
  • Reviewing and approving tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Managing and developing junior staff, fostering a high standard of client care
  • Monitoring budgets, chargeability, and contributing to business development initiatives
  • Networking at events to enhance the firm’s presence and attract new business opportunities

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA qualified with substantial experience in private client tax, particularly with non-domiciled clients
