The Funds Tax team advises a diverse range of UK and international private equity houses and professional partnerships. Services provided include annual UK tax reporting for private equity firms and their UK investors, tax transaction analysis, deal and fund structuring, and a wide variety of tax advisory projects. The team works closely with private client specialists to advise principals of private equity firms, delivering both compliance and advisory services tailored to their individual tax affairs.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced tax professional to join a specialist Funds Tax team. The role offers exposure to top-tier clients and key intermediaries, providing a strong platform for expanding your professional network and playing an active role in new business development.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of UK tax reporting and transaction analysis for a portfolio of private equity clients.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor junior members of the team to support their development.
- Contribute to training, retention, and wider people initiatives within the team.
- Participate in business development efforts and identify new opportunities to grow the practice.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong UK tax technical expertise and practical experience advising UK and non-UK private equity firms.
- Proven ability to manage and exceed client expectations with a strategic and commercial approach.
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage projects, prioritise effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
- Awareness of risk management processes, with the ability to conduct effective reviews and escalate when necessary.
Requirements
- CTA, ACA, CA, ACCA, or relevant law/tax qualification.
- Significant tax experience within a private equity, partnership, or funds-focused environment.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and private equity fund structures.
Desirable
- Project management capabilities with the ability to manage budgets and deadlines.
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Experience with:
- Private equity fund transaction analysis
- Partnership computations and returns
- UK investor reporting
