Tax Manager - Top 100 Firm | Hybrid Working | Flexible Hours

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager with a minimum of 7 years’ practice experience to join a prestigious Top 100 firm. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and contribute to a growing, highly respected firm. Reporting directly to the partner level, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, provide high-level technical advisory, and review complex tax returns. CTA qualified candidates are preferred, although QBE will be considered.

Our client base includes individuals, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, charities, and large corporations across a wide range of industries. This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise further within a reputable firm that values career growth and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, offering tax advice and reviewing complex tax returns

  • Handle technical queries from various departments, advising on issues such as inheritance tax, share schemes, and R&D reports

  • Mentor and train junior staff, supporting their development and growth

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and senior management

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through existing relationships and proactive business development

  • Provide strategic advice on VAT, capital gains tax, income tax, and venture capital schemes

Required Skills and Experience:
  • CTA qualified or equivalent experience (QBE considered)

  • Strong technical and commercial grounding in tax

  • Experience with R&D tax credits, inheritance tax planning, and corporate tax matters

  • Ability to manage client relationships independently

  • Proficient in CCH and Microsoft Office
