Sterling Williams are working with an International Bank based in the West End who are looking to hire an Assistant Manager into their Documentary Credit Team.

Trade Finance/Documentary Credit - Assistant Manager
West End Based / 4 days in the office with 1 day working from home
Salary circa £60 - 65,000 per annum plus benefits
Main Responsibilities will consist of:
- Issuance/advising of approved documentary credit products for banking customers and financial institution relationships.
- Processing of documentary credit activity in accordance with the approved terms of the transaction.
- Review documentary credit documents, liaison with appropriate counterparties in relation to discrepancies and payment.
- Response to internal and external queries in relation to documentary credit transactions and services.
- Ensure approved transaction fees have been received and processed.
- Provide technical support to internal and external parties in relation to documentary credit products.
- Provide cover for the Manager during absence including attendance at meetings as delegated by the manager.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the Trade Finance and Documentary credit team, and will likely have:
- 5 years or more working in a Trade Finance Department.
- Full and detailed knowledge of UCP 600/ISBP/URDG/Incoterms 2020/ and all other required Trade Finance publications.
- Detailed knowledge of all technical aspects of Trade Finance work.
- Checking documents against L/C to third check level without supervision or training required.
- Having worked in Trade Finance department at supervisor level or above - would be beneficial, but we are also open to considering experienced candidates looking to step up.
