One of our longest standing clients that works within Private Client Wealth Management, has just created a new role for a Junior Paraplanner, due to a recent internal promotion. They provide financial advice, estate and tax planning to high-net-worth professionals and owner managers of businesses and their families. The business has almost doubled in size since we have been working with them, all of this has been via organic growth.
They are now looking for someone that has circa 18 months experience of working as a Financial Administrator and who has gained some exposure to basic reporting writing duties, whether templated or bespoke. The role is a pivotal one for the business, as this is the link between the Financial Advisers and their clients, as you will get the opportunity to attend some client meetings.
The role is very broad in its duties, from assisting with product research and liaising with the product providers, ensuring AML checks have been completed and gaining relevant information on client’s current policies and products. You will also be trained up to start moving clients’ funds onto agreed investment platforms, as per the Advisers instructions.
This is an excellent role for a Financial Administrator that is looking for their first steps to becoming a Paraplanner. Full on the job training will be provided, as you will be dealing with high-net-worth clients and their complex needs, so you will become competent in producing highly technical bespoke suitability reports. The role has the added advantage of progressing into two distinct directions, one training you up to be a highly commercially aware Chartered Paraplanner and the second route will eventually move into a Paraplanning to Adviser role. You will be working within a tight knit and supportive team, who have a demonstrable track record of offering their staff career’s rather than jobs. In addition, they will offer study support, if you are looking to obtain your level 4 Diploma, and the role has the added advantage of being part office, part home based.
To be eligible for this role you will currently either be a Financial Administrator or Junior Paraplanner, with excellent written and verbal skills, be confident in speaking to business professionals at all levels, and possess a can-do attitude, along with some basic exposure to suitability report writing.
