My client are a niche independent financial adviser firm/ multi family office that specialises in providing bespoke financial planning and wealth management services to high net worth (HNW) and ultra high net worth (UHNW) families. Their approach is highly personalised, focusing on building long-term relationships, complex tax solutions and delivering tailored financial strategies to clients.Role Overview:They are seeking a diligent and proactive Paraplanner to join the team. This role is crucial in supporting advisers and will be a significant asset in the growth of part of the business. The ideal candidate will have some financial planning experience, excellent Excel skills, and a robust work ethic. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth within our firm and ideally, into becoming an Adviser.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist financial advisers in preparing and delivering comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.
  • Excel skills will be crucial in onboarding clients to the system, and also ensuring information and performance data is correct and presentable
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on financial products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, create financial models, and produce detailed reports.
  • Prepare detailed and compliant documentation, including suitability reports, investment proposals, and retirement planning reports.
  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain and update client files and records in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Support the advisers in client meetings, providing technical expertise and insights as needed.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a seamless client experience and contribute to continuous improvement of our service offerings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent would be preferred, or at least a willingness to work towards this goal;
  • Proven experience in a paraplanning role within the financial services industry, preferably dealing with HNW and UHNW clients.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning principles, investment products, and tax planning strategies.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated work ethic with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
