We’re working with a well-regarded independent financial advice firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Financial Planning Administrator to join their growing team. With around £250 million AUM, this boutique firm prides itself on delivering bespoke financial advice to high-net-worth clients and corporate employees alike.
The firm is made up of 8 experienced Financial Planners, supported by a collaborative and professional back-office team of Paraplanners and Administrators. They provide holistic advice across investments, pensions, protection, and tax — and also partner with major corporate HR and benefits teams to support employees with their financial education and wellbeing.
This role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, non-managerial capacity and is confident handling end-to-end administration on a wide range of financial planning matters.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting Financial Planners across a range of advice areas including pensions, investments, trusts, protection policies, and group schemes

Taking full ownership of the administration process from new business through to review preparation

Liaising directly with providers and clients to obtain information and ensure cases progress smoothly

Preparing and submitting applications in line with compliance requirements

Processing Letters of Authority and maintaining accurate client records

Handling complex cases including pension transfers and benefit crystallisation events

Supporting annual reviews, generating reports, and managing follow-up actions

Updating internal systems and proactively managing your workflow
What They’re Looking For:

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an IFA or wealth management environment

Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and the advice process

Familiarity with platforms and administration systems — XPlan experience highly desirable

Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach

Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a close-knit team
