Totum Partners is working with a leading law firm to recruit a Legal Cashier. This role involves working within the finance team, maintaining transactions in the client cashier function, and ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and AML regulations.

The ideal Legal Cashier will be responsible for:

  • Record and allocate client funds into general and deposit accounts
  • Process payments via online banking and update 3E accordingly
  • Calculate interest on client monies
  • Assist lawyers/PAs to ensure the timely return of client funds per SRA rule 2.5
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for office accounts
  • Cover for the office cashier when needed

The ideal Legal Cashier will  have:

  • Experienced legal cashier
  • Ability to work as part of the team
  • Understanding of SRA rules
