Role Overview:
A full-time Yard Operative position is available at a busy buildersā merchant branch in West Hampstead. The role plays a vital part in supporting daily yard operations by maintaining safety, efficiency, and organisation in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.
Essential Requirements:

Valid counterbalance forklift licence

Minimum of 2 yearsā experience in a buildersā merchant environment

Strong teamworking ability with the initiative to work independently

Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding role

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Good understanding of health and safety procedures

Previous yard or warehouse experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:

Safely load and unload materials using a forklift
-
Keep the yard clean, well-organised, and properly stocked

Assist customers with loading and offer basic product guidance

Adhere to all health and safety regulations
-
Conduct vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues

Support with deliveries and general yard operations
-
Perform manual handling and other related yard duties
