Principal Surveyor

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representingHackney Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Principal Surveyor this role will be: E8 1DY

The right candidate will:

• To develop and manage a team of surveyors and support staff, including experienced chartered surveyors, to deliver a range of complex property projects and transactions and to deliver such work directly where required, particularly for cases with very high complexity. To undertake recruitment and / or commission external surveyors as required to ensure targets are met and obligations fulfilled.
• To develop and manage a team of surveyors and support staff, including experienced chartered surveyors, to deliver a range of complex property projects and transactions and to deliver such work directly where required, particularly for cases with very high complexity. To undertake recruitment and / or commission external surveyors as required to ensure targets are met and obligations fulfilled.
• Management of major transactions and Landlord and Tenant events.
• Delivering substantial commercial property transactions, with rents of 100,000 - 1,000,000 plus, either directly or through overseeing the work of the Senior Commercial Asset Managers.
• Establish, manage and monitor substantial income forecasts (totalling well in excess of 10m per annum) across the entire portfolio, and providing regular and detailed reporting, including monthly meetings with Finance colleagues for both General Fund and Housing Revenue accounts.
• Carry out annual reviews of the VCS Lettings Policy to ensure that it continues to meet the needs and circumstances of the Council and the VCS

We require the following:

• Member of the RICS on Valuation or Commercial Property pathways
• Extensive commercial asset management experience
• Line management of individuals and management of small teams of officers
• Property data management systems
