Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Customs Clerk for a busy Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Wimbledon area.
Duties:-
Arriving and discharging TAD`s.
Customs clearance with CNS courier system
Follow up daily shipping & customs clearance operations related activities.
Produce import documentation in line with company procedures.
Liaising with customers and overseas agents dealing with enquiries and quotes to arrange import shipments.
Co-ordinate with all required Logistics service providers.
Ensuring job filing invoicing and cost control are done correctly and efficiently.
Liaising with clients E-commerce over weekly calls, and sending TT and exception.
Reports on a daily basis.
Ensuring that telephone calls and emails are being responded within the stipulated time frame.
Dealing with customers and clients queries and ensuring its followed up and concluded in a timely manner.
Tracking shipment, from dispatch to delivery, making shipments reach the recipient in good condition and on time.
Communicating with other departments such as Operations and Customs Clearance in order to coordinate shipping documentation.
Updating the in-house system (E Track/Get online) with accurate tracking.
Providing communication & service updates across the business as needed.
Skills / Experience:-
Broker BIFA certificates or similar
IATA certificate
Working experience with CAINIAO or 4PX companies
Working with Chinese market
Using Descartes e-customs
