Pay rate: £34,745 - £47,666 (depending on experience)

Horizon teachers are seeking a Class Teacher to join a vibrant and caring Catholic primary school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. As a Catholic school, they offer a distinct education because they believe it is their mission to place Christ and the teaching of the Catholic Church at the centre of pupils' lives.

The Class Teacher should have knowledge of:
  • The theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children
  • Knowledge of teaching synthetic phonics and developing children's early reading and writing skills
  • The monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils' progress

Class Teacher skills:
  • Promote the school's aims and Catholic ethos positively and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale
  • Develop good personal relationships within a team
  • Create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment both inside the classroom and in the outdoor area
  • Adapt planning based on children's needs and next steps
