The Role

Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a high-performing, inclusive primary school in Kensington and Chelsea to recruit a driven KS1 Class Teacher. The role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher seeking excellent mentoring, or for an experienced educator looking for a fresh, well-supported teaching environment.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a cheerful, well-behaved KS1 class with full-time Teaching Assistant support. The school places a strong emphasis on creativity, phonics-based literacy, and child-centred learning. You will be responsible for lesson planning, classroom delivery, and assessment, supported by a collaborative phase team and SLT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Use effective behaviour management to maintain a positive learning space
  • Support pupil progress through tailored teaching and ongoing assessment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and other teachers
  • Contribute to wider school activities and enrichment programmes

What We're Looking For

  • QTS and UK classroom experience in KS1 (or placement for ECTs)
  • Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
  • Confidence in lesson planning and pupil progress tracking
  • A reflective, proactive, and team-oriented approach
  • Enthusiasm for supporting both academic and personal growth
