KS1 Class Teacher - ECTs Welcome
Location: Kensington & Chelsea, SW7
Pay: 160 - 220 per day (paid to Teacher Scale)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long Term-Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM
Commutable From: Notting Hill, South Kensington, Earl's Court, Fulham, Paddington

The Role
Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a high-performing, inclusive primary school in Kensington and Chelsea to recruit a driven KS1 Class Teacher. The role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher seeking excellent mentoring, or for an experienced educator looking for a fresh, well-supported teaching environment.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a cheerful, well-behaved KS1 class with full-time Teaching Assistant support. The school places a strong emphasis on creativity, phonics-based literacy, and child-centred learning. You will be responsible for lesson planning, classroom delivery, and assessment, supported by a collaborative phase team and SLT.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
- Use effective behaviour management to maintain a positive learning space
- Support pupil progress through tailored teaching and ongoing assessment
- Work collaboratively with support staff and other teachers
- Contribute to wider school activities and enrichment programmes
What We're Looking For
- QTS and UK classroom experience in KS1 (or placement for ECTs)
- Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
- Confidence in lesson planning and pupil progress tracking
- A reflective, proactive, and team-oriented approach
- Enthusiasm for supporting both academic and personal growth
