Job Description -

Have thorough knowledge and understanding of all computer systems within the Hotel.

Ensure the smooth running of Reception/Lobby.

Handle any guest queries / complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Be responsible for the banking of all departmental pay-ins.

Check the next days arrivals list & pre-alert bookings as appropriate; V.I.Ps, disabled guests, regular guests and upgrading of the business rack rate.

Ensure that any computer faults or system errors are logged and reported to the IT helpdesk.

Ensure the credit limit list is checked thoroughly and prompt action is taken when necessary.

Print and check daily occupancy statistics and revenue reports for management.

Ensure that a minimum of two security checks of the floors and public areas are carried out during the night.

Liaise with the Night Concierge to ensure they have carried out all duties and tasks.

Check that night cleaning has been carried out to the required standards. Report any issues to Housekeeping Management.

Ensure that the Night Managers Diary is completed, giving full details of events, which may have happened throughout the night. Making sure a thorough handover is then given to the commencing Duty Manager.

Fully interact and communicate with all other management and departments.

Conduct staff training and monitor progress with the individuals.

Comply with health and safety regulations by reporting any hazards.

Deputize for the Night Manager as and when necessary.
