Job Overview:As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive therapy assessments, interventions, and discharge planning for patients in acute settings. You will work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out occupational therapy assessments on patients with complex needs in acute settings

  • Develop and implement treatment plans to support recovery, rehabilitation, and discharge

  • Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure effective, patient-centred care

  • Provide specialist advice and equipment recommendations

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

  • Previous NHS experience in acute medical or surgical settings

  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and discharge planning skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload

  • Excellent communication and team-working abilities
