Pay: 95-120 per day (DOE)
Tempest Education are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour in a specialist provision within a mainstream primary school in Barking & Dagenham (IG11).
You'll work with a small group of pupils, building consistent, trusting relationships, using de-escalation strategies, and helping them develop emotional regulation, social skills and readiness to learn.
You should have:
Experience with SEMH / behaviour needs (school, PRU, youth work, mentoring or similar)
A calm, firm, fair approach under pressure
Confidence managing challenging behaviour
Strong communication and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils
We offer:
Full-time, long-term role from January 2026
95-120 per day, paid via Tempest Education
