Long Term Futures is seeking a confident, proactive, and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support two pupils in Year 6 at a warm and inclusive primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. This role is ideal for someone who brings calm authority, consistency, and strong relationship-building skills - qualities often sought after when supporting older pupils preparing for the transition to secondary school.

  • Providing 1:1 support to two Year 6 pupils who require emotional regulation and behaviour guidance.
  • Supporting pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times such as break and lunch.
  • Implementing strategies for de-escalation, positive reinforcement, and maintaining engagement.
  • Modelling calm, consistent behaviour and helping pupils develop resilience and independence.
  • Working collaboratively with staff to track progress and adjust strategies.
  • Helping pupils build confidence ahead of their move to secondary school.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience supporting children with behavioural, SEMH, or communication needs, ideally in KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management with a steady, grounded approach.
  • Confident, reliable, and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • Active, hands-on and comfortable providing firm but supportive guidance.
  • Background in sports coaching, youth mentoring, or pastoral work is highly valued.
