**CI/CD Pipeline Architect** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: London/Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Overview

As a CI/CD Pipeline Architect, you will play a pivotal role in helping our development teams adopt GitHub Enterprise and Harness CD. Your expertise will guide the transition to efficient CI/CD practises, ensuring seamless integration and deployment across all environments-from development to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current CI/CD pipelines and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Design target CI/CD pipeline architectures on the Unified CI/CD Platform.
  • Provide strategic guidance on implementing best practises and designs.
  • Define adoption milestones and refine user stories to track progress.
  • Collaborate with development teams throughout the adoption process, assisting with execution and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Transitioning from non-Git source code systems to Git-based systems.
  • utilising reusable components like GitHub Action Workflows and Harness Templates for increased efficiency.
  • Implementing CI/CD patterns suitable for various archetypes (SaaS, Product-Led, Service-Led) and architectures (micro-service, monolithic, layered).
  • Integrating security scans (SAST, SCA, container) and comprehensive testing (unit, functional, integration) within pipelines.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong proficiency with Git Version Control, GitHub Enterprise, and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory and Harness CD.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Helm).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Azure ARM, AWS CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Groovy Script, or Golang).
