Commercial & Intellectual Property Lawyer – Manager LevelLondon | Hybrid Working | 4–6 PQE 

I’m working with a leading professional services firm that boasts a sizeable and highly collaborative legal team operating at both a national and global levels.

This firm’s commercial & IP group advises a broad client base, ranging from early-stage start-ups to global corporations across a variety of sectors. Known for handling technically complex and often non-traditional legal work, it offers a forward-thinking, flexible working model and strong opportunities for career development.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a Commercial & IP Lawyer to join the team at manager level. You will support a range of non-contentious legal matters, including commercial contracts, IP structuring, due diligence and group reorganisations. The role combines legal expertise with commercial insight and offers a great platform for those keen to develop client relationships, take the lead on matters, and contribute to wider business development efforts.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years’ PQE
  • Qualified in England & Wales (or other UK jurisdiction), or with substantial experience practising in England & Wales
  • Experience advising on non-contentious IP matters and drafting/negotiating commercial contracts
  • Commercially minded with strong drafting and communication skills
  • Interested in building client relationships and contributing to business development
  • Enthusiastic about working on technically complex legal projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of IP and commercial law matters, including licensing, franchising and IP due diligence
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
  • Collaborate with internal IP and commercial experts to support IP structuring and commercialisation
  • Assist on major group reorganisations and evaluate client contracts for risk and improvement
  • Lead projects and act as a key contact for clients, while supporting on work-winning initiatives

This is a hybrid role based in London with flexibility around office attendance, offering a high level of autonomy, exposure to high-quality work and a chance to grow within a dynamic team.
