We are looking for a skilled Desktop Supervisor with strong Schedule of Rates (SOR) experience to join our team and ensure our maintenance and repair services run efficiently and effectively.

The Role:
As a Desktop Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate housing repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with SOR guidelines. You will oversee work allocation, liaise with contractors, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance to your team-all while maintaining a focus on tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Schedule of Rates (SOR) database for housing repairs.

  • Allocate and prioritize repair and maintenance work to contractors and internal teams.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is completed to specification, on time, and within budget.

  • Prepare reports on work order completion, expenditure, and trends in repairs.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff on SOR and maintenance processes.

  • Act as a point of contact for tenants, addressing repair queries and escalations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven SOR experience within social housing or a similar environment.

  • Strong understanding of housing repairs, maintenance processes, and building services.

  • Excellent organisational, planning, and reporting skills.

  • Proficient with IT systems, including housing management systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication skills and experience liaising with tenants, contractors, and colleagues.

  • Knowledge of housing regulations, health & safety standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Supervisory or team management experience in social housing.
