Job Title: Exams Officer

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-oriented Exams Officer to join a committed and supportive education setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full examination process-ensuring the efficient planning, administration, and delivery of both internal and external assessments in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of examination procedures, including entries, timetabling, rooming, invigilation, and results
- Ensure full compliance with JCQ and other awarding body regulations
- Manage exam communications with staff, students, parents, and examination boards
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of invigilators
- Maintain secure and accurate records related to exams and candidate data
- Organise access arrangements and ensure appropriate support for students with specific needs
- Process post-results services including reviews of marking and access to scripts
- Provide data analysis and reporting support to leadership as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT skills and experience with exam management software (e.g., SIMS, Exams Organiser)
- The ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Clear and confident communication skills
- A flexible, calm, and professional manner
- Previous experience in an educational or exams-related role is desirable, though not essential
