The Opportunity:
A well-regarded and welcoming primary school in Southwark is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed EYFS Practitioner to join their Early Years team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners at the beginning of their educational journey. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality early years provision within a supportive and child-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and facilitate engaging, play-based activities that support the holistic development of each child.
- Monitor, assess, and record progress using effective observational techniques, adapting provision to meet individual learning needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn.
- Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the wider EYFS and school team to promote a cohesive and consistent approach to early years education.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential: A recognised qualification in Early Years Education (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent).
- Preferred: Previous experience working in an EYFS setting within a school or nursery environment.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and a child-centred approach to learning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A passion for working with young children and a commitment to supporting their growth and development.
