Fabric Supervisor - Facilities Management

Salary: £45,000 + overtime + benefits

Location: West London

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm

Fancy leading a skilled team of two and ensuring our clients receive top-quality maintenance? We're on the hunt for a motivated Working Supervisor to take the reins of a dedicated team, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance with a focus on getting it right first time, every time.

You'll be more than just a supervisor; you'll be a key player in driving a culture of quality and strengthening our partnerships with valued clients.

What you'll be doing:

  • Line managing and supporting 2 multiskilled tradesmen (absence, holidays, performance).
  • Overseeing third-party contractors on site (permits, RAMS, checks).
  • Managing site stores, expenses, uniforms, and tools.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment on your sites.
  • Collaborating with contract support for efficient work scheduling.
  • Building strong relationships with key client contacts (building/maintenance managers).
  • Clearly communicating technical information.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for small additional works.
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks, particularly focusing on building fabric.
  • Completing required training.
  • Sharing best practices with colleagues.
  • Undertaking other reasonable duties.

What we're looking for:

  • A completed apprenticeship in a relevant trade or equivalent
  • Proficiency in plaster repairs, carpentry, decorating, painting, silicone work, and trimming.
  • Experience with door locks and general joinery.
  • Any additional trade skills (plumbing etc.) are a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Competence in using CAFM systems, tablets, and phones for work management.
  • Good general IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety responsibilities in engineering settings.
  • Demonstrable experience supervising a small maintenance team.
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to meeting client needs.
  • Experience in regulated environments (labs, sterile areas, healthcare, food) is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable, but will be provided for the right candidate).
  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent
