A high-performing secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a Head of Maths to join their leadership team from September 2025.
This Head of Maths role is a great opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher or current subject lead ready to step into a key strategic position. As Head of Maths, you will oversee teaching and learning across KS3KS5, manage a supportive and dedicated team, and lead the design and delivery of a forward-thinking Maths curriculum.
The school is looking for a Head of Maths who combines strong subject knowledge with a clear vision for improving outcomes. Youll play a pivotal role in developing assessment strategy, mentoring staff, and driving whole-school numeracy initiatives.
The successful Head of Maths will be an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a track record of achieving strong pupil progress across multiple key stages.
Head of Maths Key Responsibilities:
- Lead curriculum development and high-quality teaching
- Line-manage and develop Maths staff
- Analyse assessment data to raise achievement
- Drive strategic improvements across the department
Person Specification:
- UK QTS and a degree in Maths or a related field
- Experience teaching Maths to A-Level
- Proven leadership experience in a Maths setting
