Tech, Media & IP Associate – London

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Commercial Tech & Media lawyer (4+ PQE) to join a leading team based in London. This role offers a competitive salary of £125,000-£150,000 and the chance to work on high-quality matters within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, ranging from blue-chip organisations to innovative start-ups operating at the forefront of technology.

There is also the potential to specialise in areas such as life sciences, Fintech, blockchain, robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

The Role:

You will advise on a broad range of commercial matters across various technology sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including collaboration, licensing, supply and distribution agreements
  • Providing advice on intellectual property, IT and data protection issues
  • Supporting partners and team members with efficient professional support
  • Building and maintaining professional client relationships
  • Contributing to business development and participating in marketing events

You will possess:

  • Expertise in IP, IT, technology and data protection issues, with strong general commercial experience
  • A minimum of 6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) gained from a City, major regional, or leading international firm, or from an in-house role within the industry
  • Excellent drafting skills and the ability to provide practical legal advice
  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing files and assisting with complex, high-value transactions
  • Sound judgement and exceptional interpersonal skills for client-facing work
