A high-achieving secondary school in Greenwich is searching for a passionate and driven Maths 2iC to join their team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a thriving Maths department within a supportive and forward-thinking school.
As Maths 2iC, you'll work closely with the Head of Department, helping to develop the curriculum, enhance teaching and learning, and guide the strategic direction of Maths across KS3 to GCSE. You'll play a key role in raising attainment, mentoring early career teachers, and leading intervention strategies that support student progress.
Maths 2iC - What youll be doing:
- Supporting the Head of Maths with curriculum planning, timetabling, and overall department strategy
- Delivering inspiring Maths lessons from KS3 to KS4
- Leading intervention programmes and tracking pupil progress
- Mentoring and coaching junior members of staff and ECTs
- Championing high standards in both attainment and behaviour
- A qualified Maths Teacher with QTS and strong classroom practice
- Proven experience teaching across secondary phases
- A collaborative leader with strong subject knowledge
- A passion for student success and a desire to make a measurable impact
- A genuine opportunity to step into leadership
- A welcoming and collaborative department with strong CPD provision
- Located in Greenwich easily accessible with excellent transport links
