Oracle Fusion Cutover Manager

Robert Half is supporting their client, a Global Consulting Firm, in their search for an Oracle Fusion Cutover Manager to become an associate and drive the end-to-end cutover and deployment activities for a high-pressure, transformational Oracle Fusion programme within a major Higher Education institution. This critical programme, valued at approximately £10-20M, is focused on a full operational transformation, with an extremely tight 13-week deadline for cutover and go-live readiness across all business units.

Contract Assignment Details:

  • Location: London (Hybrid Working - 1-2 days per week onsite)
  • Duration: Initial 6 months (critical 13-week cutover phase within this period)
  • Day Rate: c.£600-£650 p/day via Ltd Company

Role Overview:

The Oracle Fusion Cutover Manager will take ownership of the cutover plan, execution, and command structure to deliver a flawless transition from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion within an aggressive 13-week window. This role demands exceptional stakeholder control, an ability to operate at high intensity, and a relentless focus on detail and risk mitigation to avoid disruption to university operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutover Strategy & Execution: Develop, own, and deliver the master cutover plan across all business areas, ensuring critical path activities are tracked daily.
  • Command and Control: Act as the central point of coordination for all cutover activity, working with technical, business, and vendor teams to deliver a cohesive transition.
  • Contingency and Risk Planning: Build and maintain fallback strategies for each phase of the cutover, with immediate escalation and resolution structures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Drive communications with senior leadership, ensuring clear updates on progress, risks, and critical decision points.
  • Higher Education Focus: Navigate the specific complexities of a university environment, ensuring academic operations are protected throughout the cutover.
  • Hypercare Planning: Establish and manage the hypercare support model post-go-live to ensure operational stability.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record managing intense Oracle Fusion or ERP cutovers within highly time-constrained environments.
  • Experience leading business-critical cutovers in Higher Education, Financial Services, or similarly complex environments.
  • Exceptional crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and command and control experience.
  • Ability to thrive under extreme pressure, with high personal resilience and relentless attention to detail.
