GSL Education are hiring a Physics Teacher to join a forward-thinking and supportive school in Tower Hamlets. This is a permanent role starting in July 2025, ideal for a teacher who enjoys making science exciting and understandable for all learners.

About the Role

As a Physics Teacher, you will teach students across different age groups, encouraging curiosity and a deep understanding of scientific concepts. You will help pupils learn through practical experiments, discussions, and engaging lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students following the national curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that support learning and progress.
  • Prepare students for exams and assessments.
  • Use experiments and demonstrations to explain key concepts.
  • Create a safe and focused learning environment.
  • Track student progress and give clear feedback.
  • Work with other science teachers and support staff as part of a team.
  • Take part in staff training, meetings, and school activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching Physics is highly preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a love for science.
  • Good classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
