Our leading Financial Services client is looking for a highly skilled Reinsurance Operations Manager (Actuarial) with life and pensions and annuities experience to join their team for a 6-month initial contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and document business requirements related to life and pensions, including annuities and reinsurance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
  • Develop user stories, process flows, and other documentation to support project delivery.
  • Take initiative to identify and solve problems independently.
  • Ensure alignment of business requirements with project goals and objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve business processes and systems.
  • Support project teams in the implementation of solutions.
  • Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all reconciliation work.
  • Build models and perform calculations to support business decisions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Communicate effectively with actuaries and other technical experts.

Required Skillsets:

  • Extensive experience in life and pensions, with a strong focus on annuities and reinsurance.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in developing user stories and other business analysis documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in reconciliations and building models.
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Background in working for insurers.
  • Experience in reinsurance operations.
  • Looking for a manager or someone ready to make that transition.

Location: Edinburgh or London

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6 months initially
  • Competitive daily rate
