Our leading Financial Services client is looking for a highly skilled Reinsurance Operations Manager (Actuarial) with life and pensions and annuities experience to join their team for a 6-month initial contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and document business requirements related to life and pensions, including annuities and reinsurance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
- Develop user stories, process flows, and other documentation to support project delivery.
- Take initiative to identify and solve problems independently.
- Ensure alignment of business requirements with project goals and objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve business processes and systems.
- Support project teams in the implementation of solutions.
- Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all reconciliation work.
- Build models and perform calculations to support business decisions.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Communicate effectively with actuaries and other technical experts.
Required Skillsets:
- Extensive experience in life and pensions, with a strong focus on annuities and reinsurance.
- Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in developing user stories and other business analysis documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in reconciliations and building models.
- Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
- Background in working for insurers.
- Experience in reinsurance operations.
- Looking for a manager or someone ready to make that transition.
Location: Edinburgh or London
