Context:
The organisation is a Nonprofit/Charity going through transformation in its finance and IT systems, the organisation is seeking an experienced Sage Intacct Consultant to assist with system optimisation, support the finance function, and ensure the continued effectiveness and efficiency of its financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Sage Intacct Consultancy & Support: Provide expert-level consultancy on Sage Intacct to optimise the system's functionality in line with the needs of the finance department. This includes configuration, customisation, and ensuring smooth integrations with other systems.
- System Optimisation: Analyse the current use of Sage Intacct, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to streamline financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Knowledge Transfer: Assist in the handover of key financial processes from existing staff, ensuring the team can independently use Sage Intacct and maximise its capabilities.
- Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions to finance team members on the use of Sage Intacct, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to use the system efficiently.
- Project Implementation: Lead or support projects related to Sage Intacct, including upgrades, new module implementations, and improvements to financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Work closely with the finance team to design and implement effective financial reporting solutions within Sage Intacct, helping the organisation manage its various funding sources and contracts.
- System Integration & IT Support: Collaborate with the IT team and external partners to integrate Sage Intacct with other systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring seamless operations across platforms.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide ongoing, ad-hoc support to address any issues or queries related to Sage Intacct, ensuring the finance team can continue operations without disruption.
Key Requirements:
- Experience with Sage Intacct: Proven experience (ideally 1-2 projects) with Sage Intacct. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
- Charity Sector Experience: Previous experience in the charity or nonprofit sector is highly preferred, especially in organisations with multiple funding sources and varied contracts.
- Consulting Experience: Experience in providing consultancy on Sage Intacct to finance teams, including system improvements, process optimisation, and user training.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct configuration, financial reporting, and module implementations. Familiarity with integrating MS Dynamics is beneficial.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Ability to deliver effective training and facilitate knowledge transfer from departing team members, ensuring continuity and smooth transitions.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyse and resolve issues related to financial systems and reporting, working with a high level of data accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with finance teams, IT departments, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-Sufficiency: Strong organisational and time management skills, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of Sage Intacct's capabilities, particularly around fund accounting and complex reporting.
- Previous experience working in the charity sector, handling different types of funding and contracts.
