We’re looking for a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join our forward-thinking accountancy practice in London. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and the chance to work with an exciting portfolio of clients across the Media, Entertainment, and Creative agency sectors.You'll need to thrive in a fast-paced setting, be confident managing deadlines, and bring strong communication and organisational skills to the table.Key Responsibilities:
  • Training and supporting junior staff, offering guidance and mentoring across the wider team.
  • Acting as a role model through professionalism, conduct, and technical expertise.
  • Managing VAT return processes from delegation to review and timely submission, keeping clients well-informed throughout.
  • Handling ad-hoc client queries with clarity and efficiency.
  • Drafting accounts with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Managing tasks using CCH workflow software, ensuring clear progress updates—especially during managerial absences.
  • Supporting billing targets and helping manage workflows across the team.
  • Delivering training on accounting software to improve team capability.
  • Overseeing bookkeepers’ time management and allocation.
  • Working closely with managers and offering proactive support where needed.
Key Skills:
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • ACA/ACCA part-qualified or finalist.
  • Strong communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Comfortable using accounting software; experience with CCH workflow tools is a plus.
