Full-Time SENCO - Primary School - Newham
Are you a passionate and experienced SENCO or Inclusion leader seeking a rewarding role in a diverse and thriving Junior school in Newham?
An inclusive and forward-thinking Junior school in the heart of Newham is looking for a SENCO or Inclusion leader to work from June 2025 until at least December 2025.
The school would ideally like the successful SENCO to start earlier for a handover with the current SENCO but this is negotiable.
This 5 day a week role is offering pay rates of between £200 - £250, depending on experience.

As SENCO, you will be a key member of the leadership team with responsibility for:

Leading the strategic development of SEND policy and provision across the school.

You'll line manage the SEND TAs

Support with the Y2's transitioning in the school and Year 6's into secondary.

Coordinating and monitoring the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy.

Supporting and guiding staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning for pupils with SEND -ensuring that interventions are effective.

Working closely with children, parents, staff and external agencies to ensure personalised, effective support plans are in place.

Overseeing the identification of children with special educational needs and managing the school's SEND register.

Coordinating provision for children with EHC plans and contributing to annual reviews.

Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining accurate records.
You will not be class based and experience of safeguarding is preferable although not essential.
