A well-established Early centre in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to cover a maternity leave on a part-time basis (2-3 days a week). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage the school's SEN provision while contributing to the success and development of students with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.

The Role:

  • Lead and oversee the SEN provision across the school, ensuring the needs of SEN students are being met effectively.* Work closely with class teachers and support staff to deliver individual education plans (IEPs) and appropriate interventions.* Collaborate with external agencies to provide support for students with more complex needs.* Monitor the progress of SEN students, ensuring they are making appropriate academic and personal progress.* Support teachers and staff by providing advice and training on SEN strategies, promoting an inclusive approach across the school.* Manage the SEN budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively for maximum impact.* Maintain a strong partnership with parents to ensure they are well informed and supported in their child's educational journey.The Ideal Candidate:
