A well-established and growing Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) within a primary school in Greenwich is looking for a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team from September.
The Role
As the class teacher within the DSP, you’ll be leading a small class of five pupils, all with diagnosed Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of communication and learning needs. The class follows a sensory-based curriculum, and you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and tailored activities that support both learning and development.You’ll be working closely with a skilled and supportive team of teachers and teaching assistants, as well as accessing input from external specialists across Greenwich. Ongoing training and professional development are actively encouraged and supported.
This is a full-time, long-term SEND Teacher role with the potential to become a permanent appointment.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)• Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism• Strong understanding of approaches such as Attention Autism, TEACCH, Makaton, or PECS• A nurturing and adaptable teaching style that puts the needs of the child first
