Start Date: January 2026 

Smart Teachers is working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in East London to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher from January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with the SEND team to plan and deliver high-quality, tailored provision for students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in removing barriers to learning and supporting positive outcomes for all learners

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEND needs

  • Supporting students with EHCPs across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where appropriate)

  • Working collaboratively with the SENCo, support staff, and external professionals

  • Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and assessments

  • Promoting inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour

About you: 

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it)

  • Have experience working with students with SEND in a secondary setting

  • Be suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers with a passion for SEND
