Location: London (Hybrid)

My client is a rapidly growing FTSE-listed international organisation, who we are supporting with their exciting growth plans across a number of key areas, including their highly respected Pensions division. Following a restructure and significant investment into their business development capability, this is a newly created senior Bid role where you will have the autonomy to shape the mandate and direction of travel.

The Role

  • With managerial oversight of a Bid Manager, you will own the bid process end-to-end, developing meaningful relationships with providers of opportunities at third parties.
  • Develop systems, processes and methodologies to enhance bid capability and drive an ethos of best practise across internal stakeholders.
  • Directly manage opportunity scoping and feedback calls with third parties (referral partners and directly with those procuring your services).
  • Manage RFP process from receipt through to issue of response ensuring compelling responses created and deadlines met.
  • Be a key stakeholder in signing off RFP and pitch material.
  • Assist in the creation of compelling and tailored bid responses and impactful presentations at interview stage.
  • Identify relevant frameworks that the organisation would benefit from being included on.

The Person

  • Demonstrable track record of leading successful often complex bids
  • An extensive network and knowledge of professional services, with Pensions experience prioritised.
  • Educated to degree level and, ideally, evidence of further study and/or additional qualifications in marketing and/or communications.
  • An ability to manage projects using a collaborative and professional approach and operate well under pressure.
  • Skilled at developing relationships with colleagues and other professionals including client, partners, press and other contacts.
  • Gravitas to lead beyond direct authority.

The package is market leading, will be tailored around the appointed individual and is intended to attract and retain leading talent, including a compelling base, rewarding bonus plus exceptional benefits. These include a very generous pension contribution, private medical, the ability to 'buy and sell’ holidays and a share incentive plan.
