Senior DevOps Consultant (Remote)Contract | 1 week (With Option to Extend) | £400-500/day

We're working with a lean, product-focused startup that's currently transitioning into the next phase of growth. The team is now seeking an experienced Senior or Principal DevOps Consultant to help design and implement a robust, scalable infrastructure foundation.

What we're looking for

What's needed is a strategic, hands-on DevOps expert who has experience working within a startup environment and is confident in building reusable patterns that will support the companies future services. You'll collaborate closely with a technical founder and the CEO to architect smart, scalable systems that work for a lean team-think GitOps, Helm, Terragrunt, EKS, and modern CI/CD best practices.

This is not a legacy maintenance role-it's about building things right from day one and enabling rapid deployment, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Tech-Stack
  • AWS & EKS

  • Terraform & Terragrunt

  • GitHub Actions (CI/CD)

  • Helm

  • GitOps workflows

? Ideal Profile
  • Proven experience bootstrapping infrastructure for early-stage products.

  • Deeply hands-on, with the ability to scope, build, and deliver independently.

  • Comfortable refactoring and modularising existing setups to create clean, replicable patterns.

  • Pragmatic, with a startup mindset: low overhead, high impact.

  • Able to clearly communicate trade-offs and decisions.

  • Experience working with a start-up or small-ish company

?? Why Join This Project
  • Shape DevOps practices from the ground up.

  • High trust and autonomy-direct access to decision-makers.

  • Strategic input valued, not just implementation.

  • Potential for long-term collaboration.

  • Remote-friendly (core team based in London).

?? Engagement & Process
  • Start: ASAP

  • Interview: Informal, 30-minute technical conversation to explore your thinking and scope potential involvement

This is a great opportunity to help build the DevOps backbone of an ambitious product-if you're the kind of person who enjoys clean setups, modern tooling, and working closely with founders, we'd love to hear from you.
