Senior React Developer

Location: Becrypt Head Office (London) / Remote

Responsible to: Architect, Device Management

About Us: The company is an agile London-based UK SME with 25 years cyber security expertise. We provide High Assurance cyber security products and services.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a talented front-end developer to work on our latest, user-friendly web applications.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the architects to define the technical architecture and requirements for the solution using a modern tech stack. You will be required to coordinate with the rest of the team that are working on different layers of the infrastructure. You must therefore be committed to work collaboratively, solving problems as a team, providing sophisticated designs and yield quality products.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, test and maintain React components for user interfaces, while also implementing backend logic, including cryptographic operations, RESTful API interactions and other related tasks
  • Take ownership of front-end projects
  • Take the lead on implementing new features
  • Mentoring other members of the team
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Support testers to ensure the product is of good quality
  • Perform code reviews and write documentation
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by the business

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years React.js experience
  • Javascript
  • Experience of full SDLC
  • LESS/SASS/CSS
  • Good understanding of web application security
  • Good coding fundamentals

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • TypeScript
  • Electron
  • UI Design
  • RESTful API
  • Degree in computer science or another closely related subject
