We are recruiting aSenior Sous Chefto join a community-led kitchen and bar space in Kings Cross, supporting a growing daytime and evening food offer. This role focuses on creativity, consistency and preparing for a smoothtransition into a Head Chef positionnext year. You will work closely with theDevelopment Head Chef,helping drive menu ideas, shape thekitchen cultureand strengthen standardsas the business continues to build momentum.

Senior Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Support the Development Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations
- Lead service across breakfast, lunch and evening periods
- Drive menu creativity across Breakfast and Lunch menus as well as innovative sandwiches, salads and weekly specials
- Maintain strong standards of food quality and presentation
- Manage stock, ordering and kitchen organisation
- Train and mentor CDP, Commis and Kitchen Assistants
- Prepare to step into full Head Chef responsibility as the venue grows
Senior Sous Chef Requirements:
- Experience: Proven background as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fresh food operation
- Ambition: You want a clear step into a Head Chef role within 6 months (salary review at this time)
- Leadership: Strong ability to guide, support and develop a small team
- Creativity: Confidence in contributing ideas for seasonal menus and specials
- Organisation: Calm, structured approach to service and prep
