We’re working with a leading organisation in the pensions sector that is looking to appoint a Transition Team Manager to lead a team of specialists overseeing the successful onboarding of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.

In this key role, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of scheme transitions, from contract negotiation through to data cleanse, ensuring accurate data collation and validation to support successful implementation. You'll play a pivotal role in project planning, setting clear timelines, and aligning processes with trustees and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of DB pensions, and a passion for coaching and developing technical talent. Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to proactively resolve issues are essential to delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the transition team to ensure timely, efficient delivery of all assigned transitions, maintaining clear stakeholder communication.
  • Oversee regulatory checks and documentation to ensure a strong audit trail.
  • Lead Large Deal Framework transactions, aligning efforts with Business Development and Operations.
  • Manage data cleanse with stakeholders to improve data quality and efficiency.
  • Allocate resources for new scheme signings based on requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to support team development and competency.
