Our client, a global start-up that creates high-quality merch and apparel, is seeking a Senior VP Music Retail to work within a new division for Global Music Merchandise. This pivotal role is aimed at securing new business, driving revenue and leading development across all channels.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Working with artists and music industry corporations to lead strategy and secure new business.

· Identifying opportunities to expand reach and secure long-term partnerships.

· Serving newly acquired customers to exceed their needs and fostering robust relationships.

· Acting autonomously by setting targets and expanding the footprint within each account.

· As appropriate, building a new global music team and support their development.

· Ensuring that product offerings align with the client’s needs and market demands with cross-functional collaboration with fashion design, supply, production, and marketing teams.

· Providing input to shape product development based on client feedback and industry trends.

· Reporting on the progress of the music division – new business acquisition, account growth, KPIs.

· Using report data to optimise strategy and performance.

 

Requirements:

 

· Extensive experience within the music and entertainment retails industry.

· Understanding and familiarity with merchandise and apparel production processes.

· Possess an in-depth knowledge of the market, consumer trends, and business dynamics.

· Strategic thinker and able to implement direction for retail strategies and plans.

· Proven track record of bringing in new business and driving revenue.

· Demonstrable experience in managing large, high-value accounts.

· Experience in building strong relationships.

· Entrepreneurial approach and genuine drive for growth.

· Able to thrive in a fast-paced and flexible environment.

· Willing to take ownership and be autonomous.

· Strong leadership skills with a view for a collaborative team culture.

· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

· Previous experience working in an entrepreneurial environment is beneficial.

· Existing network within the music and entertainment industry is desirable.
