Special Needs Assistant - Harrow (Primary School ARP Unit)

Full-time | Term Time Only | 8:15am - 3:40pm
Start: January 2026 until July 2026(possibly extended)
Salary: 95-105 per day (depending on experience)

Sanza Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Harrow seeking a dedicated Special Needs Assistant to join their team.

You will be based in the school's Additional Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs - including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD - helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop both socially and academically.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with individualised learning plans in a small, nurturing environment
  • Encouraging communication, independence and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support
  • Adapting activities and approaches to meet varied needs
  • Assisting with transitions between the ARP and mainstream classrooms

The School is Looking For:

  • Someone flexible, adaptable, and patient, with a genuine passion for inclusion
  • Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs (school or community settings welcome)
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
