Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and confident Team Manager to lead a Safeguarding team that delivers high-quality services to children and families. The Role:As Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and other social care staff. You will ensure that all team members are supported through supervision, appraisal, and development opportunities. You will work closely with statutory partners and third-sector organisations to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and responsive services. You'll also play a key role in contributing to policy and practice development across Children's Services.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration

  • Minimum of three years' post-qualifying experience in Children's Services

  • Experience in staff supervision and development

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practice and relevant legislation, including the Children Acts 1989 and 2004, Children and Adoption Act 2002, and the Leaving Care Act 2000

  • Ability to plan and manage competing demands

  • Evidence of high-quality practice and a commitment to continuous improvement

  • A recognised management qualification or participation in a leadership development programme
