Class Teacher - Year 1 (Maternity Cover)

Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term (2 terms initially)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and inspiring Year 1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming two-form entry Church of England primary school in the borough of Harrow.
This position is a maternity cover, starting in January 2026 for two terms initially, with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will work within the Christian ethos of the school, creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified and experienced primary teacher (KS1 experience preferred)
Deliver creative, high-quality teaching that inspires and motivates children
Demonstrate a passion for early learning and child development
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and caring team
Uphold and contribute positively to the Christian values of the school
Be proactive, reflective, and committed to professional growth
While the school is ideally seeking an experienced teacher, it may also consider exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who show strong potential.
